HE WAS GETTING READY FOR THE SUPER BOWL, DUDE!
A new survey by the Public Religion Research Institute finds that more than a quarter of Americans believe that God has an influence over sporting events.
Additionally, more than half of Americans believe that “God rewards athletes who have faith with good health and success."
The telephone survey, which was conducted between January 16 and 20, used a random sample of 1,033 adults and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
During half time of the Super Bowl this Sunday, God will be using that time to grab a beer, take a quick bathroom break and dabble with the idea of ending the various conflicts in the Middle East.
